Europcar

Solid performance with real-time updated products and prices

Europcar

Europcar is Denmark's largest car rental company, holding a 34% market share and operating 40 offices throughout the country. The company is well-known across Europe, and in Denmark, Europcar also covers sub-brands such as PS Biludlejning, driveon.net, TaxFreeCars, and BookCar. Europcar's users should be able to book the car that precisely matches their needs, and this process should be fast and seamless despite the numerous choices involved. The booking system on europcar.co.uk needs to handle over 7,000 cars, vans, and trucks with specific specifications, age requirements, and availability in relation to local offices. Prices must always be up to date, and Europcar's B2B customers should also have their own differentiated agreement terms.

increase in organic traffic with a notable rise in new users (18%). Alongside the positive SEO results, a significant decrease in the bounce rate (20%) has been observed.

First and foremost, it was crucial for us to provide both our B2C and B2B customers with a professional online service that was top-notch! This was achieved through a high level of user experience and successful integration with our booking engine and CRM system. With the new solution, we have accomplished that! It was also important for the visual identity of the sites to closely align with our corporate parent company, without compromising our Danish business model. Internally, working with the site on a daily basis has become more intuitive and flexible as well. For instance, we can now easily create microsites for our key clients, which has resulted in a significant increase in revenue for each of those clients.

One solution - multiple websites

The two sub-brands, taxfreecars.dk and bookcar.dk, operate on the same DynamicWeb platform as Europcar.dk, using the same templates and integrations, with only the design being different. Template changes and technical updates thus apply to all sites, making site maintenance much easier. Therefore, Europcar has chosen to migrate the driveon.net website to the same platform as soon as possible. Additionally, Europcar can easily create microsites for their major clients with unique prices, products, and booking environments. The company has experienced a significant increase in revenue through this approach.

User-friendly booking flow

It has been crucial to achieve top-notch user-friendliness with a significantly improved booking flow. The user has the option to choose whether to book via login, manually entering all the data, or through quick booking. Additionally, Europcar can now also offer extra deals as part of the booking flow. The new platform ensures accurately updated webshop data through close integration with CARLA, which is Europcar.dk's ERP system for booking and finance. Furthermore, the solution is integrated with the company's CRM system.
