Novicell is a full-service digital consultancy. We are about 25 good people in our London office, and you will also have over 330 great colleagues across 8 offices in 5 countries. Our offices are in London, Barcelona, Madrid, Amsterdam, Aarhus (Denmark), Copenhagen, Stockholm and Oslo.
Your day-to-day tasks
Your day-to-day tasks will involve working closely together with talented developers and designers to:
- Implement responsive and adaptive designs in HTML, CSS and JavaScript
- Implement websites and web applications in VueJS, NuxtJS and Umbraco
- Test websites and improve their performance
- Work closely together with our creative designers implementing unique online experiences with parallaxing effects, animations and more
- Participate in the architecture and development of larger web solutions

About you
It is a prerequisite that you have practical experience in frontend development with setting up HTML and CSS, working closely together with designers. We expect:
- You have worked with JavaScript, HTML and CSS for 2-3 years
- You have practical experience implementing responsive web design
- You have worked with legacy browsers, and know quirks to look out for
- You have worked with CSS precompilers or postprocessors. We use PostCSS
- You are familiar with CSS architecture patterns like BEM and SOLID
It would be great if you also know about:
- Implementing in CMS, such as Umbraco, Sitecore, Drupal or similar
- Component libraries
- WebPack and NodeJS
- VueJS, and NuxtJS
- What is considered good user interface and user experience
Your education isn't as important as your years of practical experience. We are looking for a frontend developer who can be a part of a growing development team in London, and who can help us push the team's capabilities. We see your profile as:
- You are ambitious and keep yourself updated with trends and technologies within frontend development
- You like to dig into things, but at the same time have a good sense for teamwork with your colleagues and clients
- You have a keen eye for good user experience
- You take professional pride in your work, and aren't afraid of pushing back when confronted with bad practice
- You are self-driven, take ownership of assigned tasks, and make sure that when you take upon the task, you follow through
