Commercetools is an e-commerce platform based on modern microservice architecture and fits well with the way we think and build solutions for our customers.

True headless e-commerce

Commercetools is cloud-native, which means it is built to run from the cloud, and can therefore be run with the lightning-fast performance that characterises cloud solutions. The architecture is connected via APIs, where the frontend is completely decoupled from the backend to design what is called a headless solution. This means that the backend can act as an administration interface for a number of different frontend interfaces. This means that data only needs to be updated in one place for all the organisation's sales channels: webshops, apps, self-service portals and integrations to external marketplaces to give a few examples.
